The Certificate III in Sport (Career-oriented Participation) specifically addresses the needs of students who wish to participate in the golf industry. A*Game International Golf Academy coaches are members of the Professional Golfers Association of Australia (PGA). The specialisation units included in this qualification have been developed by A*Game's PGA golf professionals. The course will be delivered at A*Game International Golf Academy both in the classroom and on the golf course which is located at Brookwater.

Duration

Certificate III in Sport (Career-oriented participation) SRS30206 is delivered over a 1 year period. Students would be fully expected to have fully completed the course and deemed to be competent within 1 year of commencement.

Award

In Certificate III in Sport (Career-oriented Participation) SRS30206 students must achieve a handicap of 4 (males) and 7 (females). Graduating students will receive the Certificate III in Sport (Career-oriented Participation) SRS30206.

Entry requirements

Students should have a grade 12 or equivalent high school certificate, plus international students should also comply with IELTS (or equivalent) requirements for visa entry.

Further courses

Domestic and international students meeting English Language requirements and having achieved competency in this qualification may proceed to the Diploma of Business or Diploma of Sport (Development), and then into a Degree in Business or Bachelor of Business (Sport Management). It may also lead to Traineeships with the PGA.
